A hub equipped with one RS485 input port and 8 output ports, allowing connection of up to 32 devices on each data path. Designed for communication in industrial networks, it enables the creation of applications that operate in a star configuration. It provides communication over the serial port at speeds of up to 460800 bps and offers a range of up to 1,200 meters using high-quality cables like shielded twisted pairs. It utilizes automatic transmission direction detection function. The converter features built-in overvoltage protection and opto-isolation to ensure safety and noise immunity. It operates within the range of 9 to 24 V. It can be used for traffic management, monitoring, or control of data collection systems in industrial networks. Complete documentation and usage examples are available on the product page.
Primary Function
The RS485 network relay supports extension and isolation functions.
Connection Scheme
The isolated RS485 main connection point can be connected to the RS485 main device, and the extended 8-channel isolated RS485 connection point can be connected to various RS485-dependent devices such as RS485 sensors, etc.
Typically, RS485 requires a point-to-point connection; if a star connection (with the main station at the center) is needed, this RS485 hub can effectively isolate interference between multiple RS485 connections.
Industrial Isolation Protection
The built-in photoelectric isolation protection circuit can effectively isolate RS485 main and dependent devices to prevent damage from ground potential differences between devices. It is suitable for industrial environments with anti-static, lightning-proof, surge-proof requirements, providing high reliability and security.
Wide Baud Rate Range
Supports a wide baud rate communication range of 300-460800 bps (self-adaptive)
Rail Mount Support
Supports the standard 35mm guide rail, easy to install with rail-mounted clips.
