NeoPixel Ring - Integrated Driver 12 x 5050 RGB LED is an arrangement of 12 ultra-bright smart LEDs placed in a circular shape with a 1.5" (37 mm) outer diameter. These rings are 'chainable,' meaning you can connect the output pin of one to the input pin of another. Each LED in the ring is individually addressable, thanks to the integrated driver chip inside.
Each LED in this ring can be controlled with 18mA of current, making the colors consistent even if the voltage varies slightly. There's no need for an external resistor to design the circuit. Simply power it with 5VDC, and you're ready to create amazing lighting effects.
These NeoPixel LEDs use a special protocol that requires precise timing. They require a microcontroller with real-time capabilities, such as AVR, Arduino, PIC, mbed, etc. They cannot be used with Linux-based microcomputers or interpreted microcontrollers like netduino or Basic Stamp. It requires manual assembly and is intended for AVR cores, but others may have ported the chip driver code, so please search online. An 8MHz or faster processor is required.
It comes pre-assembled and tested as a single ring with 12 separately addressable RGB LEDs.
You can order the competitive and affordable NeoPixel Ring - Integrated Driver 12 x 5050 RGB LED from the Adafruit category at SAMM Market with the advantage of reasonable pricing, same-day shipping, and fast delivery.
