This sensor is an Interlink model 406 FSR with a 38 mm square sensing area. Please note that this sensor cannot determine where on the square you are applying pressure.
FSRs are essentially resistors that change their resistance value (in ohms Ω) based on how much pressure is applied to them. These sensors are quite low-cost and easy to use but are rarely highly sensitive. Additionally, they may vary by up to around 10% from sensor to sensor. Therefore, when using FSRs, you should primarily expect to get response ranges. FSRs can detect weight, but they are not a good choice for determining the exact weight applied.
FSRs are made of plastic, and their connection prongs are bent onto delicate material. The best way to connect them is to attach them to a circuit board or use clamp-style connectors like alligator clips, header pins, or terminal blocks. It is possible to solder to the prongs, but you must be very quick because if your soldering iron is not of good quality or if you delay even a few seconds, you can melt the plastic and damage the FSR! If you are not absolutely sure you have the necessary skills to do this, do not attempt to solder directly to your FSR.
