These buttons are designed to be mounted with screws, making them compatible with materials up to ~15mm thick, and they provide a clean and round appearance, capable of covering up imperfect holes. The button action is smooth without a strong click, but you can definitely feel it when the button is pressed. It comes with a small microswitch with gold-plated contacts pre-installed.

They are the same size as common miniature arcade controls and require a 24mm diameter hole for mounting. That's why they are sometimes referred to as 24mm buttons.

Even without illumination, they look great with all colors having a crystal semi-transparent bright appearance. As mentioned, each button has two surface-mounted LEDs embedded in the button body, complete with built-in resistors. In addition to the main switch contacts, there are two additional contacts for providing power/control to the LEDs. The two LEDs are connected in parallel, each with around a 1K resistor, so you can power them from a microcontroller pin or directly from 5V (let's say USB) with a 10mA draw. You can go down to 3.3V power per button, with only 2mA, but they will be dimmer.
