EL Wire Starter Pack - Aqua 2.5 Meters (8.2 Ft) / Adafruit

Let's get started with a small package! This project pack includes the following:

• A bright, long-lasting 2.5-meter (over 8 feet) EL wire in Aqua, which is the brightest and best EL color we carry. The maximum length you can drive this with is about 2.5 meters - it's ready to go, just cut it off and solder it on!

• Pocket EL inverter, which operates with 2 AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries (not included).

• 2 inches of heat shrink to protect the wire after soldering, in both 1/8" and 1/4" diameters.

• 2 inches of copper tape used during EL wire soldering.

• 2 inches of foam tape, which we'll use to make a pad inside the inverter to silence it.

Soldering EL wire can be a bit tricky, but don't worry, we've given detailed step-by-step instructions! You'll need a wire stripper, soldering iron, solder, copper tape, and heat shrink. A third hand tool is also really useful.

Please keep in mind! EL tape, EL wire, and EL panel are made with different processes - color and brightness won't be consistent across different types of EL products. EL tape won't exactly match EL wire or EL panel, they'll all be a slightly different color.
