The GPU provided with the Tinker Board 2 is the Mali-T860, the highest-performing multi-core GPU based on Arm's Midgard architecture. Mali-T860 is designed especially for complex graphics use cases and offers full support for OpenGL ES 3.0/3.1, OpenVG 1.1, OpenCL, and other frameworks for both next-gen and legacy 2D/3D graphics applications. Compared to the original Tinker Board, Tinker Board 2's Mali-T860 GPU accelerates graphics performance by up to 28%.
Tinker Board 2 supports dual displays with resolutions up to 4K UHD, making it well-equipped for impressive visual output. It also includes three built-in popular display interfaces for superior flexibility, including HDMI, DisplayPort via USB-C, and DSI.
Advanced 2x2 dual-band 2.4/5 GHz antenna-equipped 802.11ac Wi-Fi provides transfer speeds up to 10 times faster than previous Wi-Fi standards. Tinker Board 2 also features the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology built-in, offering transmission speeds up to 2X and a range increase of up to 4X. Integrated Bluetooth provides the convenience and freedom of wireless connectivity with a wide variety of devices, including speakers, headphones, and game controllers.
Tinker Board 2 includes three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, offering data transfer speeds up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0, as well as a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (USB-C) port. In addition, it supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for DisplayPort Alt Mode for connecting external displays and OTG functionality.
1-RTC battery header
Enables real-time clock (RTC) functionality for programming startup and shutdown, timers, and other relevant functions. It also ensures that the system clock keeps time when grid power is lost or unavailable.

1-Short-circuit damage prevention
Built-in power IC and policing switch prevent damage from overcurrent and short circuits, preserving the longevity of both the Tinker Board 2 and connected devices.
2-Electrostatic discharge protection
ASUS ESD protections prevent damage from electrostatic discharge, extending the lifespan of components and providing protection against air discharge of up to +/- 15kV and contact discharge of up to +/- 8kV.
3-Overvoltage protection: First-rate circuit-protected power design
A special circuit design with built-in voltage regulators protects the Tinker Board 2 from damage caused by unexpected high-level voltages from unbalanced or low-power sources.
The Tinker Board 2 includes a flexible setup tool to adjust all aspects of your system, allowing you to change performance settings to suit your needs perfectly. The initial configuration follows just three simple steps:
Select the CPU Governor mode.
Configure maximum and minimum frequencies for the CPU and GPU.
Use the Monitor panel to verify that the operating system follows the settings configured in steps 1 and 2.
