The Tinker Board R2.0 series is powered by the Rockchip RK3288-CG.W processor, featuring a powerful and modern quad-core ARM-based CPU, providing significantly improved performance compared to other popular SBC boards. The Tinker Board R2.0's GPU and dedicated functional processors, powered by the ARM Mali™-T764 GPU, allow for a wide range of uses, including high-quality media playback, gaming, computer vision, motion detection, image stabilization and processing, as well as computational photography and more.
-Tinker Board R2.0 supports HD and UHD video playback at 30 fps, currently only available through the provided media player tool. Third-party video players and applications may not provide hardware acceleration, resulting in limited or unstable playback performance.
The Tinker Board R2.0 series is equipped with an HD codec component that supports audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz. The integrated audio jack supports audio output and microphone input without the need for an extension module.
The audio jack also offers seamless plug detection, automatically switching audio output to an audio jack when speakers or headphones are connected.
The Tinker Board R2.0 series includes standard manufacturer connectivity options, including a 40-pin GPIO interface that allows for a range of interfaces. The Tinker Board R2.0 series is equipped with a DSI MIPI connection for displays and touch screens. The secondary CSI MIPI connection is intended for compatible cameras that allow computer vision and more.
The Tinker Board R2.0 series also features Gigabit LAN for Internet and network connections. A dedicated data bus source for the LAN connection ensures consistent Ethernet performance. The integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth controller on the Tinker Board S is protected by a metal cover for minimum interference and improved radio performance. An integrated IPEX antenna header allows for easy antenna replacement or upgrades.
The Tinker Board R2.0 series also features a full-sized HDMI output. Additionally, it includes four USB 2.0 ports for comprehensive peripheral and accessory connections.
