You can easily charge a 3.7V/4.2V lithium polymer or lithium-ion rechargeable battery with this charger. All you need to do is connect it to a USB port using any Mini-USB cable and plug the other end with the JST plug into your battery. It features two LEDs – one red and one green. When it's charging, the red LED lights up. Once the battery is fully charged and ready for use, the green LED will illuminate.

The charging process consists of three stages: an initial preconditioning charge, followed by a constant current fast charge, and finally, a constant voltage trickle charge to keep the battery full. The default charging current is 100mA, which works with batteries of various sizes and USB ports. If you want to switch to 500mA mode for charging only 500mAh or larger batteries, you can do so by simply soldering the front jumper closed.

Please note that this charger is designed specifically for use with Adafruit LiPoly/LiIon batteries. Other batteries may have different voltage levels, chemistries, polarities, or pin configurations. Batteries are not included with this product.
