You can easily charge your 3.7V/4.2V lithium-polymer or lithium-ion rechargeable battery with this Adafruit Micro-Lipo Charger by simply connecting it to a USB port using any MicroUSB cable. The charger comes with two LEDs - one red and one green. The red LED lights up while charging, and the green LED indicates that the battery is fully charged and ready for use.
Please note that this charger is designed exclusively for use with Adafruit LiPoly/LiIon batteries. Other batteries may have different voltage, chemistry, polarity, or pinout configurations, so make sure to use it only with compatible batteries. Batteries are not included. The charging process consists of three stages: initial preconditioning charge, constant current fast charge, and a constant voltage trickle charge to keep the battery fully charged. The default charging current is 100mA, suitable for various battery sizes and USB port configurations. If you want to charge only 500mAh or larger batteries, you can easily switch to the 500mA mode by soldering a jumper on the board.
