Adafruit LED Ring Light - 76mm Diameter is designed to be used with microscopes, but its design is highly appreciated, and it can be a really nice LED element for costumes or lighting effects. Of course, you can also use it as a great addition to your photo and video projects. This is a super illuminator, perfect for photo studio lighting with its cool, soft, lightweight, and excellent features. We've also seen them used as intense, focused, and shadowless microscope illuminators for detailed work.

It operates with 9V power and will not work with 5V.

Please note that these are not 'NeoPixel' LED strips, so you can turn them on and off or dim them with a PWM power signal, but you cannot control individual LEDs.
