Before you gaze upon these 32 configurable dazzling RGB LEDs, put on your sunglasses. Each pixel arranged in a 4x8 matrix can be individually addressed. Only one pin is needed to control all the LEDs. Below, we have jumpers for the DIN line to any of the I/O pins on a Feather. It works with any of our Feathers! You can cut the default jumper trace and use any pin you like. (Especially, the default pin should be moved for Feather Huzzah ESP8266, try pin #15!) Currently, it works with ESP32 Feather, but it's not recommended due to NeoPixel timing issues that make it difficult to control more than 30 pixels.

To get started easily, the LEDs are powered whichever is higher by default, either the USB power line or the Battery power line. Two Schottky diodes are used to switch between the two power sources. This power arrangement can handle a steady current draw of 1 Amp, maybe 2A peak, so it's not a good way to make a flashlight. It's better for colorful effects.

A level up shifter converts the Feather's 3.3V logic to the power line voltage. Let's say you need MORE blinking eyes, you can chain them together. For the second Wing, connect the DIN connection to the DOUT of the first Wing. Also, connect a ground pin together, and power them with an independent 5V supply to not overload the power source too much.
