The Robot Board features 2 pairs of H-Bridge Motor Driver ICs (each capable of driving 2 standard motors or 1 stepper motor) and 8 servo outputs (capable of controlling standard and continuous rotation servos), all individually controllable from the micro:bit. It utilizes the I2C protocol over a 16-channel driver IC.
The connector header separates all of the available pins on the micro:bit, designed for easy soldering of a 2.54mm pin header in place. The 17 available I/O pins allow for the addition of other input devices like sensors or output devices like ZIP LEDs to the board. The I2C communication lines can also be broken out (Pin 19 and 20), meaning other I2C-compatible devices can be added to the board and controlled by the micro:bit.
To use the All-in-One Robot Board, the micro:bit must be securely attached to the edge connector in both directions.
