Adafruit 16-Channel PWM/Servo HAT for Raspberry Pi - Mini Kit" is an add-on board for Raspberry Pi that provides the ability to control up to 16 servos with perfect timing. It can also generate PWM signals with a resolution of 12 bits and frequencies of up to 1.6 KHz.
This HAT is compatible with Raspberry Pi models including A+, B+, Pi 2, Pi 3, or Pi 4, as long as you have the 2x20 header pins (standard for most Pi models). If you are using it with Model A or B, you can use it with long 2x13 headers instead.
The Adafruit 16-Channel PWM/Servo HAT can drive up to 16 servo or PWM outputs over I2C with just 2 pins. The built-in PWM controller can run all 16 channels simultaneously without putting an additional processing load on the Raspberry Pi. Furthermore, you can stack up to 62 of these HATs to control servos up to 992 - all with the same 2 pins.
It can work with any servo that operates on 5V and can receive signals at a 3.3V logic level.
What's even better is that Adafruit provides a Python library that you can use to get started right away, making it easy to bring your robotic projects to life. The Adafruit PWM/Servo HAT is an excellent solution for any project that requires a large number of servo or PWM outputs.
Each order includes a Servo HAT, a 2-pin terminal block, four sets of 3x4 headers, and a 2x20 socket header. You'll need to do some basic soldering to attach the headers to the HAT PCB, but it's an easy process with basic soldering tools like a soldering iron and rosin-core electronic solder. If you plan to stack multiple HATs on a single Pi, you can also get a 2x20 stacking header and a set of right-angle 3x4 headers to avoid soldering.
Please note that this kit does not come with a Raspberry Pi, servos, or the required 5V power supply.
The terminal blocks provided with your product may come in either blue or black color.
