The Distance Sensor measures the distance of obstacles in front of it. The adjustment wheel controls the sensor's sensitivity. When sensitivity is increased, it can detect objects at greater distances.
In "a" mode, the module stops the signal when it detects an object.
In "b" mode, the module forwards the signal when it detects an object.
The sensor has an infrared transmitter and receiver LED. It sends out light like a flashlight and then detects the proximity of the object in front of it based on the angle of the returning light.
