MakeBlock mBot is a low-cost and easy-to-use robot kit designed for children to learn programming. It can be easily programmed using a simple block-based programming logic, and you can add additional hardware to it, limited only by your imagination.

What can you do with mBot?

• You can easily create various projects using its built-in line follower, ultrasonic sensor, light sensor, button, IR receiver, RGB LED, buzzer, and other peripheral devices.
• Build a robot that can escape from walls.
• Create a line-following robot.
• Play music based on certain sound cues.
• Control the robot with a standard TV remote or compatible remote control.
• Collaborate with other mBot robots through IR communication to make them dance together.
• Interact with it using Scratch and execute scenarios and games from the Scratch program.
• Engage in battles or play soccer using the app.

Easy Assembly

The robot will come to you disassembled. You can easily assemble it by combining the 40 pieces included in the set to make your robot ready for use.

Small but Capable

mBot is ready to perform all the functions you would expect from a mobile robot, thanks to its built-in ultrasonic obstacle sensor, line sensor, and wireless communication module. You can easily add other sensors/modules thanks to the mCore board. The sensors eliminate problems like reverse connections with RJ45-type sockets, commonly used in phones. You can easily attach Lego parts to the robot using compatible connections on the mCore board. Additionally, the robot is entirely open-source and supports Arduino, so you can do advanced programming using the Arduino IDE if you wish.

Drag-and-Drop Programming

You can use the Scratch-based mBlock program, which is one of the graphical block programming environments developed for children to learn programming without getting bored, either from your computer or your smartphone/tablet. Moreover, there is a training program that will guide you from easy to more complex programming when you want to program the robot from your smart devices.
