It's perfect for data logging, clock creation, timestamping, timers, alarms, and more. Equipped with the PCF8523 RTC, it works seamlessly with Raspberry Pi and has native kernel support.

It works perfectly with any Raspberry Pi (or similar single-board Linux computer) including Pi 1, Pi 2, Pi 3, Pi Zero, A+, B+, Pi 4, and more.

• It comes fully assembled and tested, and the PCB headers can be directly plugged into your Pi's GPIO pins - no soldering required.
• It will keep time for 5 years or more.

Note: This product does not come with a CR1220 button cell battery.

The PCF8523 is a simple and affordable device but not highly accurate. It can lose or gain a second or two per day.
