This sensor module is an excellent detector for line-following robots, featuring 8 IR LED/phototransistor pairs mounted on a 10mm pitch.

The LED series is organized to reduce the current consumption by half, and a MOSFET allows the LEDs to be turned off for extra sensitivity or power savings. Each sensor provides a separate analog voltage output.
