SI1145 UV Index/IR/Visible Light Sensor

Light sensors that calculate changes in light and color in the physical environment are available at SAMM Market. The SI1145 UV Index/IR/Visible Light Sensor calculates the UV index by detecting ultraviolet light. This sensor also features an infrared and visible light detection system, with a calibrated UV detection algorithm.

This digital light sensor operates over I2C and can be easily used with any microcontroller. The product comes fully assembled and tested, including a PCB breakout and a small top part. You can easily use it by soldering the header to the PCB.

SI1145 UV Index/IR/Visible Light Sensor Features:

This board uses the I2C interface and supports both 3V and 5V logic levels. When you provide an infrared LED input to the LED pin on the board, this sensor can also become a proximity sensor with a detection range of 10 to 500 mm. If you need proximity measurements, you can add an IR LED to one of these sensor boards.
