The LM35 is an analog output temperature sensor that provides precise temperature measurements. It has a sensitivity of 0.5°C at 25°C, and you can measure temperature by connecting it to the analog input of your Arduino.

The pin configuration of this sensor is as follows. It comes in a TO-92 package, which can sometimes be confused with a transistor, so it's essential to read what's written on it before making any connections. This sensor provides an output voltage between 0 and 1V at pin 2, which is directly proportional to the temperature. Arduino's analog inputs typically measure voltages in the 0-5V range unless specified otherwise. If we leave the analog input range as 0-5V, 80% of the sensor's sensitivity capability will go unused. To prevent this, we need to adjust Arduino's analog measurement range to be between 0 and 1.1V.
